What a fantastic week we have had with the exception of today, we have had glorious sunshine all week. The rabbit fence is now installed around the veg beds and a lot of the planting is underway. I have yet to see them, but Susi tells me that the ducks have 5 ducklings with them now. A real feeling of Spring at last with the blossom coming on the apple trees, the Orchard should soon look spectacular.

Since I arrived I've heard Woodpeckers both pecking and 'laughing' and today I have seen a very handsome male Green woodpecker (Picus viridus) feeding on the lawn around the children's play area.
